Yes, that's true. You'll have a great experience. If you really want to go I recommend Cemberlitas Hamami, Hani Caddesi 8, off Divan Yolu. It is one of the most famous in Istanbul, around 500-century old (it was built by architect Mimar Sinai). A bath costs 9euro and if you want a massage too it will you cost 14euro.
