While walking along Divan Yolu Caddesi try to look on the right side until you see a monumental column. That's the Çemberlitas or as it often called the Burnt Column. It was erected by the Constantine the Great in order to celebrate the fact that Constantinople would become capital of the Roman Empire. For many years it was the centerpiece of the Forum of Constantine.
