friendship's question:
Some tips about any good sight in Istanbul? I'm planning to make a list of those on top(give a different answer) .
One of the oldest mosques in the city is the graceful Beyazit Camii. It was built in 1506 on the orders of Sultan Beyazit II (the son of Mehmet the Conquerer) its shape looking a bit like Aya Sofya's one. At the back of the gardens is buried the mosque's founder. This nice building is located at Yeniçeriler Cad., across from the Beyazit tramway stop (bedide the Grand Bazaar). Entrance is free.
