A good choice would be Kircicegi restaurant, at Kibris Sehitleri Caddesi, Alsancak. It has a good reputation and is therefore sometimes crowded. It's in a very busy, pedestrianised area. It's a great place to taste some of the traditional Turkish dishes. They have a lot of options and the cooking is high quality, but not very expensive. Their number is 464 3090.
